Regarding the ability of the player himself to wage a secretive war – hypothetically, the game has stealth. I say, hypothetically, because its implementation very often broke off on the first murder. The only possible option for me to eliminate the target and remain unnoticed by a sniper rifle – the distance did not allow me to detect. Otherwise, I gave my location immediately. After I learned that the most lousy weapon in the game, a MP5 submachine gun, was just equipped with a muffler murder. That’s just at least a citizen from Utuba claimed that in Far Cry, you can take entire locations for stealth, I have hard to believe in it. If only because you do not have the main element of any stealth game-information about the enemy’s location.

The main character knows how to throw stones to “distract the enemies”, but, having evaluated the game reality offered to me, I did not even try to do it.

We should talk a little more about enemy enemys in the game. I don’t know, again, the consequence of the “console patch”, or it was such, but the mercenaries in Far Cry are inclined to play human behavior more or less, such as, for example, an attempt to get to a stationary machine gun when the alarm is announced, or moving stealthily with weapons. Because the enemies move semi-wrapping, getting into them even easier, and in general it is very difficult to call their behavior tactically-vulnerable or at least “smart”, but this is a lively reaction of computer men to the player’s invasion of their space-someone sits still, someone combs the jungle, while choosing their personal route.

I had a situation when, being in the next bunker, I looked at the bugs with the regdol of the enemies I killed and was surprised to find that I had come for me another detachment. In any case, it looked just like that, for I killed all the goals met and nothing portended a second attack.

Of course, there is no open world in Far Cry, but the game very skillfully creates a feeling of open space, although almost every level of it is a kind of corridor. As already noted, in addition to spacious jungle in the game there are closed rooms, and who would have thought, but the gameplay in the new conditions changes dramatically. If, under the hot equatorial sun and at a respectful distance, enemies-mercenaries do not show high accuracy, and the player reaches only a few shots, then in the isolated rooms of bunkers, laboratories and other confrontation with the enemy is a rapid duel and may end the immediate death of the main character. Special forces move slowly, but nevertheless creaks with shoes, and it is precisely what happens to determine their location for a preemptive strike. I do not remember a single other shooter where it would happen to look for enemies by hearing.

Later, these citizens will appear with shields at the ready, which will present even greater difficulty in their elimination. Especially with the moment that for the whole game I did not learn about the presence of my under -barrel grenade launcher. Yes, this is one of those features of the game that I have discovered for myself much later, on YouTube on YouTube. And not that I am an idiot – the game in no way illustrated the presence of such a device, and in the settings I did not see anything like it, but I was there often, because after each session the game forgot the purpose of the keys. The lack of this knowledge played a cruel joke with me further on the game, and in general it made my passage somewhat more difficult.

The game has a technique, water and ground transport, as well as their highly, helicopters. That deeply pleased me is the property of these same helicopters. Flying machines are very reminiscent of these from the Orthodox GTA5, where, with proper dexterity, it was possible to remove the arrow and thereby deprive the turntable of combat efficiency, or completely kill the pilot and send this thing in a free fall. But I was somewhat hastily rejoiced, because the same canonical, unknown and ubiquitous boss-vertota in the game also has.
